Nerds of the world rejoice! The teaser trailer for Catching Fire is FINALLY all up in the internet's business!
i'm sure you've already watched and rewatched it like a hundred times. (Don't feel bad. i've done it too!)
So let's get down to brass tacks, as they say, and discuss the ever-loving shizz outta this thing!
First, if you haven't already partaken (um, what have you been waiting for?!?!) by all means, partake your brains out:
Usually when discussing a trailer i realize i might come off a bit, um, what's the word, ah yes, snarky. i really can't help it though. Turns out, i'm a snobby reader. Yes, apparently i think i'm totes hot shit because i read the book before seeing the movie. And being such a hot shit, i feel entitled to snark it up when it comes to viewing Books-Into-Movies trailers because, more often than not, i can use the phrase "that's not how it happened in the book" while feeling vaguely superior to non-readers that are looking at me like "huh? what do you mean? who's Madge?"
Anyhoo, i usually like to do a minute-by-minute analysis of why, based solely on the trailer, said movie is probably destined to not live up to its bookish potential.
Howevs, methinks i might have to eat my snark this time around. i mean, what's there to make fun of? Only a heartless troll would find anything funny or snappy to say about the dude from District 11 getting straight-up murdered, or Gale being publicly whipped, or Plutarch and Snow calmly discussing how Katniss needs to be dealt with (ie by KILLING HER!)
So there will be no snarky minute-by-minute for Catching Fire. Because, basically, in the opinion of this Tribute, the trailer is pretty awesome.
The only thing missing? i think you know what i mean.
The freakin' Quarter Quell!!!
Throughout the whole trailer, there's really no mention of it. Except for that end bit with President Snow where he simply alludes to it.
But where is the arena?
And where are the newbs? Where's Johanna? Mags? Beetee? Wiress? And for the love of Buttercup, WHERE IS FINNICK?!?!?
i mean, i get that this is merely the teaser trailer, but at least give us a little something new, Lionsgate! i mean, any little bread crumb will do.
Ok, now i'll turn it over to you guys. What did you think of the trailer? Did you like it? Did it leave you a little disappointed? Were you really hoping for some new, Catching Fire specific stuff? Or did you really just wanna make sure that they didn't fuck it up with the casting of Finnick?
Whatever your rant or rave, drop me a comment and tell me what ya think!
Oh, and just a P.S., Catching Fire will be in theaters November 22nd. (And so will Evil Eva!)

Why Shailene Woodley Is Currently The Bane Of My Existence And Other Books-Into-Movies News
There has been SO MUCH Books-Into-Movies/TV news lately! So let's just dive right in to this shizz, shall we?
*i'll start with Books-Into-Movies-news-EvilEva-totes-doesn't-approve-of: it seems Shailene Woodley has won yet another coveted YA book to movie role, that of Hazel Grace Lancaster in the film adaptation of John Green's The Fault in Our Stars.
So isn't that just peachy fucking custard. Answer: no. It is not.
i mean, has anyone else SEEN The Secret Life of the American Teenager?!?!? i don't think they have! Because if they had, they would see that Shailene Woodley is so NOT a good actress. (And, while we're on the subject of being fairly terrible, that toolface that plays Ricky on Secret Life should totally NOT be playing my sweet Alex in the Delirium TV show either. i mean, he's terrible AND he has Dylan McKay-ish hair in the year 2013! i seriously feel like Abed in that one episode of Community: "What's going on? Am i deaf? Can you guys hear me talking right now?" But instead of being deaf, i feel like everyone else has suddenly lost their ability to see. And i'm sitting over here struggling through reruns of Secret Life thinking maybe i'm just being too hard on these poor children and if i could just give this show ONE MORE SHOT, but NO! It's STILL terrible. THEY are still terrible. Thus i'm feeling very Abed and have to ask: "What's going on? Am i blind? Can you guys see what i'm seeing right now?!?!)
So. Anyway. i'm not all that jazzed about Shailene Woodley being cast in another role that i feel is too good for her, urm, "talents." But i'd love to know what you guys think? Am i merely being too hard on this girl or do you agree with me that she kinda can't act and WHY ON EARTH are they tainting my book-memories with her gigantic ABCFamily face?!?! Dish it in the comments.
*Speaking of Divergent, (which we kinda really weren't, we were only speaking of Shailene Woodley, but she's {unfortunately} gonna be in Divergent so i think this segue still works. anyhoo,) the rumors about Kate Winslet being somehow, someway involved in the Divergent movie are true, y'all. And just as i previously predicted, she'll be taking on the role of Jeanine Matthews.
And recently, three others were also cast. Ben Lloyd-Hughes will play Will. Ben Lamb will play Edward. And the role of Al will be played by Christian Madsen. i've never heard of any of these guys. (Apparently i'm not the only one though. When i hit up Google Image Search for each guy my results were basically "um. uh. fuck if i know." Well, except for Ben Lamb. Apparently there is a better-known Ben Lamb that isn't an actor at all but a ginger-headed poker player. Regardless, thanks for nothing Google Image Search.)
Anyhoozle based on the pics provided by the above link from Hollywood Crush, i don't think i would've picked any of them. Especially the dude playing Al. He's totally NOT how i pictured Al in my noodle.
*Now, onto news that i can not only get behind; i can also get in front of it and to the sides as well. And believe it or not, this news actually has to do with 50 Shades of Grey.
No, guys, don't start going cray, ok, i haven't actually read it yet! However given the latest casting rumor about the movie i might just have to break my vow of never reading Twilight fan-fiction EVER and take a crack at that shit. Why, you may be asking yourself?
Well because rumor has it Stephen Amell (aka Oliver Queen from my newest fave TV show, Arrow! As well as my current TV crush!) may be in the running for the role of Christian Grey! And this news is straight from the horse's mouth. Sorta. More or less.
Now, as i mentioned before, i still haven't read the 50 Shades books yet but i know the basic gist of them; it's all bondage and sex and what have you. Now, thinking logistically, that would mean that there would be copious amounts of sex scenes in the movie version. Which would also mean that Stephen Amell would be shirtless (and perhaps pantless) for a good bit of the movie. Which is something that your girl, Evil Eva, is all for! (Unless they cast Shailene Woodley as Anastasia Steele. At which point, i'll be totes out, y'all.)
And now, a gratuitous shot of a shirtless Stephen Amell! (You're welcome, ladies!)
*i don't know if any of you out there are particularly excited for the upcoming film adaptation of James Dashner's The Maze Runner or if you were even aware that such an adaptation was in the works, but either way The Maze Runner is in fact being given the old book-into-movie treatment and recently a few names have been tied to the project. Will Poulter is being considered for the lead role of Thomas. Thomas Brodie-Sangster will play a character named Newt. And Aml Ameen will take on the role of Alby. This all means nothing to me as of right now because The Maze Runner is still currently TBRing it on my shelf. But if you've read the series and have an opinion on these casting decisions, comment away kiddos!
*This fall ABCFamily is introducing a Pretty Little Liars spin-off called Ravenswood. (While also proving that they don't really understand what a "spin-off" is.)
Here's the synopsis for the show from their website:
Ravenswood will center on a town, not far from Rosewood, PA (the home base of Pretty Little Liars), which has suffered under a deadly curse for generations. Five strangers suddenly find themselves connected by this fatal curse and need to dig into the town's mysterious and terrible history before it's too late for each of them. The series will premiere on ABC Family following the annual Pretty Little Liars special Halloween episode in October 2013.
And here's the link to said website in case you wanna delve even further into this business.
Oh, and it was recently reported that Pretty Little Liars has been renewed for a fifth season of bat-shizznat craziness! The fourth season will kick off this summer starting June 11th at 8 pm. Hopefully we'll find out what was in that trunk. And why it was sooooo shocking. (My money is on it being Ally's dredged up corpse! Any takers? Any at all?)
*And now i'll send you off with a little (and i do mean little) tease!
Here is the teaser trailer FOR the teaser trailer for the Catching Fire theatrical trailer (Because that's evidently something we do now. That and winter hiatus'.) It's really just a cheap ploy to get you to watch the MTV Movie Awards (Sunday April 14th at 9 pm on MTV!) in which they'll be playing the whole teaser clip as opposed to just the teaser of the teaser clip which i am gifting you with now......
Although, let's be for reals, it's not all that much of a gift. It's basically Effie's ass and Katniss in what i'm imaging to be an adorable sweater and i say "imagining" because i can only see a tiny piece of the sleeve. What this clip does not include is really the only thing we wanna see. i'm, of course talking about Finnick! i don't give two shits about whatever Muppet-skinned ensemble Effie is trying to rock (apparently, in the future, the only PETA is one that bakes cakes! See what i did there?) or the touring of the other Districts. i wanna see the newbies, dammit!
Hopefully the actual teaser trailer won't be such a tease and we'll finally see some new faces.
Ok guys, that's all the news i've got for you now. But be sure to check back often for even more dish!
Now i'll turn it over to you guys. Share your opinions on any or all of the topics i just got finished covering.

Books Into Movies And TV News: Lightning Round!
So recently i took a gander at my Favorites tab and noticed that i've favorited a butt ton of Books Into Movies and TV news that i haven't shared with you guys yet. Now i'm gonna super unload on y'all! So buckle up and let's do this thang!
Catching Fire Movie News:
*The role of Mags has been cast. It goes to Lynn Cohen who you might remember as Magda on Sex in the City. i actually like this casting decision. What do you guys think?
*Enobaria will be played by Meta Golding. i've never seen her in anything so i don't know about this one.
*Enobaria's District 2 counterpart, Brutus, will be played by Bruno Gunn. Never heard of him either.
*Hey, someone i actually recognize has been cast! Alan Ritchson (or as i know him: that guy that played Aquaman in those few episodes of Smallville) snagged the role of Gloss.
*Also from District 1, the role of Cashmere goes to Stephanie Leigh Schlund.
*The role of Chaff is now off the table. E. Roger Mitchell landed the role of one of District 11's victors.
*And finally, perhaps the BIGGEST Catching Fire news: Finnick has been cast. It seems the rumors were true and he'll be played by Sam Clafin. Thoughts? Feelings? i just don't know about this one. To me, Finnick's casting is to Catching Fire as Peeta's casting was to The Hunger Games: i.e. Super Ass Important. And i've never seen this Sam Clafin in anything. And, well, just think about how that whole Peeta (and Gale) thing turned out. i think Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth did ok but i don't think they were the perfect people for the job. And this Sam Clafin character, just isn't who i was expecting. i was really pulling for Ian Somerhalder. How awesome would that have been? Damon Salvatore as Finnick Odair? Although i think he's a little too old for the part, i still think it would've been pretty amazing!
Mortal Instruments Movie News:
*According to Cassandra Clare herself, Kevin Zegers has won the role of Alec Lightwood, Isabel's bro and Jace's bestie.
*Here's a two-fer: The part of Madame Dorothea goes to CCH Pounder, while Aidan Turner takes on the role of Luke Garroway.
*Brother Jeremiah of the Silent Brothers has been cast. This creepy role will be played by Stephen R. Hart.
*Apparently Jonathan Rhys Meyers is in talks to play series baddie, Valentine.
The Vampire Diaries TV News:
*Elena, Stefan and Damon confess about compulsion.
*Tyler talks taking on Klaus in Season 4.
*Amy from The Nine Lives of Chloe King (or Grace Phipps as she's actually known) will be playing the role of a girl named April that has some sort of connection with the Gilbert kids.
*Phoebe Tonkin (aka Faye from that shit bucket of a show The Secret Circle) will also be joining the cast this season as Hayley, a girl from Tyler's past.
*Check out the season 4 promo which is mostly bits from season 3's finale and like 2 seconds of the new season but it's still very exciting!
Now i wanna know what you guys think. Are you liking these casting decisions so far? Is Sam Clafin your number one choice? If not, who would be your ideal Finnick? Are you excited about the Mortal Instruments movie? Who do you think would make a kick ass guest appearance on Vampire Diaries? Chat it up in the comments section and tell me what ya think.

Shadowhunters And Mockingjays And Oz, Oh My! (OR Books Into Movies News)
In the past few week, oodles of Books Into Movies news has hit the internet. So let's catch up, shall we?
i'll start with (in my opinion) the most important Books Into Movies news. That would be Catching Fire, of course.
*A while back there was a rumor that Philip Seymour Hoffman might be cast as Plutarch Heavensbee. Well, now it's official. Welcome to the madness, sir.
*Also cast, Amanda Plummer will play Wiress. i've never heard of her but based on her pic alone, i'm all for her. So DON'T disappoint me, Amanda!
*Add this one to the rumor pile, Tony Shalhoub is reportedly hoping to nab the role of Beetee. It doesn't seem like anything's official yet.
*Nooooooooo! It seems that Jenna Malone as Johanna Mason is gonna happen. i just noticed that they have the same initials. NOT that that means anything. It's certainly not fate. And so i repeat, Noooooooooooooo!
*Now for the MOST IMPORTANT of the most important news: We finally have our Finnick! Maybe. But let's not celebrate just yet. Put down your confetti, guys. Cos i just don't know about this one. The role has "allegedly" been offered to some guy named Sam Claflin. Who IS Sam Claflin?!?!? Well, according to imdb, which i quickly looked up just now, he played in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (which i still haven't seen) and Snow White and the Huntsman (which i also still haven't seen.) So i'm at a loss for who this cat is. So the next logical step would be: Google Search!!! So i got a butt-ton of images and decided on this one:
| Is this the face of Finnick Odair? |
*And lastly in Hunger Games movie news, it seems your next 3 Novembers will be spent with Katniss & Co. The release dates for the final 3 movies hit the internet a few weeks ago. Catching Fire will arrive in theaters November 22nd, 2013. Mockingjay Part 1 (yeah, it's being split into two movies. Boooo!) will be out November 21st, 2014. And Part 2 of Mockingjay will be heading to theaters November 20th, 2015.
*Another popular YA series that's had a lot of movie news lately is The Mortal Instruments.
First, check out a glimpse of the teaser poster (which is apparently a thing now, i guess?)
Next we've got some casting to discuss. The role of Simon has finally been cast and it goes to someone named Robert Sheehan. i've never heard of him (i'm sensing a theme here. Are these Books Into Movies purposefully casting little-knowns? Hmm.) So what do you guys think? Simon material?
*In other casting news, Kevin Durand and Robert Maillet will be playing Pangborn and Blackwell, the disgraced Shadowhunters and Valentine's bitches.
*And in EVEN MORE casting news, the role of Magnus Bane goes to Godfrey Gao, Jocelyn Fray will be played by Lena Headey and Hodge will be played by Jared Harris. Three more peeps i've NEVER heard of.
There's a new Wizard of Oz movie coming soon! And it looks sooooooooo good! It stars James Franco as the great and powerful Oz before he was all great and powerful. i think James Franco is a good choice to play Oz. He's got just the right amount of oddball-osity to pull it off. Joining him in the movie, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis will play the 3 witches. Glenda, the Wicked Witch and the one the house fell on, i guess, respectively.
Check out the trailer:
i love how the trailer starts out small and in black and white and then the screen moves out and goes to color. It's supposed to be out sometime in March of 2013.
So what do you think about all this new news? Which movies are you excited about the most? Are you happy with any/all of the new casting decisions? Sound off in the comments and tell me what ya think.

JK Rowling's New Book Look! Plus Books Into Movies Linky-Dinkage
Yes! We FINALLY get a glimpse of the cover of JK Rowling's new book! Which we'll get to in a minute. But first, it's time for more Books Into Movies news! Are y'all ready for all this booky and movie-y(?) (that doesn't sound right.) goodness? Alright, well here we go...
i'll start off with the news that i'm not all that jazzed about, to tell you the truth. So the latest Catching Fire casting rumor is that Jena Malone has been offered the role of Johanna Mason. Are y'all like me? Are you thinking "do huh?" i just don't know about this one. She's not even remotely who i pictured playing Johanna. Although, yes, truth be told, i didn't actually have an actress in my head that would be the perfect Johanna but i know that if i did it wouldn't be Jena Malone. i'm dying to know what y'all think about this news. Do you think Jena is a good choice? Do you have a better chickie in mind? Hop on down to the comments and tell me who you think deserves the part.
While we're on the subject of The Hunger Games, i'm sure you all know that the DVD will be out soon. August 18th to be exact. You can preorder it right this very instant from loads of stores. If you preorder from Best Buy you can get a free District 12 keychain. Target boasts an exclusive 3 disc deluxe set. While Barnes & Noble offers up a cloth poster of Katniss for their preorderers.
We haven't had any news on the Mortal Instruments movie in awhile so how 'bout i give ya a lil' dish. The role of Isabelle Lightwood has been cast. It goes to an actress by the name Jemima West. Never heard of her but we'll see how she does. Truthfully, Isabelle was one of my fave characters from City of Bones (the only book in the series that i've read so far. i know! Don't judge me!) But i'm guessing everyone is all set to drool over the Clary/Jace coupling. i think i'm in the minority of liking Isabelle and being firmly on Team Simon.
Anyhoo, what do you guys think of the cast so far? Are you excited to see the Shadowhunters hit the big screen? Tell me your POV on the whole sitch in the comments.
LoTRers get ready to lose your shizz cos The Hobbit is on the July 13th issue of Entertainment Weekly! There's a HUGE spread with pics galore. Plus, geeky added bonus: there's also a Comic-Con preview! (P.S. the Oz the Great and Powerful poster art is super a-mah-zing!)
The last little bit of news i've got for you involves this lady, i don't know if you've heard of her, a Ms. JK Rowling? Yeah, turns out she's got a new book coming out called The Casual Vacancy. Even though there's very little known about the book, peeps are already clamoring to get any piece of info they can on it. This week's bread crumb? It's the cover, y'all! Take a look and tell me what you think.

Well. It's very simple. And gives us exactly, um, NO CLUES as to what the book could possibly be about. But i'm still super duper excited! Oh and btw, the book will be out in stores September 27th.
So that's the news ya needs to know this week. Come back very soon cos i'll be dissecting the latest trailer for Breaking Dawn Part 2. There might be jokes made about Kristen Stewart's inability to look non-constipated. Oh hell, who am i kidding!? OF COURSE there will be jokes made about Kristen Stewart's inability to look non-constipated. You know you don't wanna miss that!

Let's Break Some Dawn And Catch Some Fire! (As Well As Other Books Into Movies News)
Greetings fellow book lovers! And fellow movie lovers! And fellow book-into-movie lovers!
i've got a few links concerning some of your fave books-into-movies projects that are fast approaching so let's get this thing started!
i'll start with all the Breaking Dawn hoopla that has been going down recently because of the sudden appearance of... wait of iiiiiiiiiit..... Renesmee! You know, that fictional vampire/human child that isn't AT ALL real?!?!? Well, to be so fictitious homegirl is suddenly all anyone can talk about. In fact, in case you didn't already know, this week she shares the cover of Entertainment Weekly with her parents and that baby-lover Jacob.
And if that wasn't enough, there's also this teeny tiny teaser trailer that just popped up for Twihards to lose their shizz all over!
GAH, i HATE those motherfucking eyes!!! Is anyone else kinda already sick of the whole Twilight thing? Is it just me? Are you kinda on pins and needles just for this thing to end already? i was so excited for the first Twilight movie to come out but then somewhere along the way i've really just completely lost interest. i blame most of this on Kristen Stewart's face. i mean, you're an actor. Your job is to fucking EMOTE! This is our fifth and final go round with you as Bella Swan so could you please pick another emotion other than your go-to. And by that i mean suicidal. i don't know if you realize this Kristen but for most of this franchise you look like you're always mere minutes away from sticking your head in an oven. i mean, Bella is now a vampire and if i felt like Kristen Stewart ALWAYS looks, i don't think i'd want to live forever. Even if it was with Cedric Diggory. i'm just saying, Kristen Stewart's face is kind of a cautionary tale for those that think immortality is the bees knees.
Anyhoozle, let's move on, shall we?
There's maybe, possibly, perhaps, finally some casting news for Catching Fire. Word around the internet is that Phillip Seymour Hoffman has been tapped to play Plutarch Heavensbee, the new head gamemaker taking over for Seneca Crane.
Check out this first look of The Host, the movie based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer which will be coming to a theater near you March 29th, 2013. i already knew it starred Saoirse Ronan who will be playing Melanie. But i didn't know that the role of Ian O'Shea would be played by Jake Abel. Who is kind of an old pro when it comes to books-into-movies. (He played in Percy Jackson, I Am Number Four, and The Lovely Bones.) Oh and you might also remember him as the third (and least important) Winchester brother from Supernatural!
Libba Bray has a new book coming out this September called The Diviners and Paramount has already scooped up the movie rights. The description of the book sounds really interesting (New York! Pickpockets! The Occult!) so it could very well make a great movie too. Plus it helps that Libba Bray herself will be adapting the screenplay.
That's all the books-into-movies news i've got for you this time. So what do you guys think? Any movie that you're looking forward to? Any casting picks of your own for Catching Fire? Wanna rant a little about Kristen Stewart and her constantly constipated face ya damn self? Feel free to dish it all up in the comments section below.
(Oh and be sure to tell me what you think of that 13 second teaser trailer too.)

Who Will Direct Catching Fire And Other Books Into Movies Linky-Dinkage
*Yes we're all super sad that Gary Ross is stepping down from finishing off the directing duties of The Hunger Games franchise but lets mourn that shit and get over it because Catching Fire has a director! And it isssssssssss..... Francis Lawrence, the director of such movies as I Am Legend and Water For Elephants. So we'll just have to wait and see how he does. What i'll be even more interested in is when the casting decisions kick off. Who do you think should play Finnick and Johanna?
*There's been a new edition to the Beautiful Creatures cast. Kyle Gallner (aka Beaver, or, excuse me, Cassidy from Veronica Mars) will play the role of Larkin. Still not quite sure how i feel about this book as a movie. What do you guys think?
*The zombie love story, Warm Bodies written by Isaac Marion, will be headed to the big screen soon. i don't know too much about the casting choices yet but i do have two names. Nicholas Hoult will star as R and James Franco's little bro, Dave will also appear in the movie. Don't know who he'll be playing though.
*Disney has acquired the rights to tell the tale of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. As a movie, this might just be awesome. We'll have to wait and see. No news about who might star in the film yet.
The peeps over at Palomar Pictures scooped up the movie rights to Julie Kagawa's vampire dystopian novel, The Immortal Rules before the book was even officially released last month. i haven't read it yet but i do love me a good dystpoian and adding vampires to the mix seems like an interesting choice.
The creator of the saucy, sexy Sookie Stackhouse series (also known as True Blood by TV fans) Charlaine Harris might have another series heading to the small screen. The Harper Connelly mystery series may be coming to SyFy going by the name Grave Sight. i don't have any stars for you yet but this is some news i'll be sure to keep my eye on. (i'm a Truebie, duh!)
Lionsgate has hired screenwriter Charlie Kaufman to adapt The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness into a movie. This could be pretty amazing. i wonder who will win the roles of Todd and Viola. Got any ideas? Tell me about it in the comments.
This summer Greg Heffley & Co. are back for a third time in Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3: Dog Days. Looks like more silly summer fun. Check out the trailer:
Lastly, let's all get super hyped about new Pretty Little Liars!!! The amazingly soapy show will be back with its summer premiere starting June 5th. Now that A has been captured, what do you think is gonna go down? Can the girls possibly stay out of trouble this season? Yeah, i don't think so either. But i can't wait to see what kind of dramz our fave little liars get mixed up in next!
That's all the scoop i've got for you now. But be sure to check back soon cos i'm always finding new Books Into Movies (and TV) news to blog about!

Books Into Movies And Books Into TV News (Plus i Reveal A's True Identity!)
What up, y'all? i've got even more Books Into Movies and TV news for you. Plus two new clips from The Hunger Games! Only 3 more days, y'all! *squeals with Peeta-lovin' delight*
More casting news for the Beautiful Creatures movie. Jeremy Irons nabbed the role of Macon Ravenwood. Do you think this movie will be anywhere near as anticipated as The Hunger Games is now? i just don't know about this one, guys.
Get ready to crap your pants, Twihards! Because here is 15 seconds of Breaking Dawn Part 2 which won't be in theaters until November 16th. But rumor has it you can see a full trailer when you catch The Hunger Games movie this weekend! In the meantime, enjoy this little tidbit (if you can. i mean, it's really short.)
Speaking of The Hunger Games, here's the link to yet another clip from the movie! In this one Katniss is saying her goodbyes to Gale before she gets shipped off to the Capital.
And here's a clip featuring an evil meeting of the minds between President Snow and Seneca Crane.
i am so beyond ready for this movie!!!!!
BTW, you can prep yourself for the arena with the soundtrack which came out today and which i'm currently listening to! :)
And now for a little Books Into TV news:
Someone has been cast as the rival against Prince Maxon for America Singer's affection in the CW's The Selection. And that someone is William Moseley who will play Aspen, our heroine's "impoverished blond paramour." William Moseley is no slouch when it comes to the whole "Books Into" thang. He played Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia movies.
i have to admit, i'm getting kind of excited about this series. So far it's got a pretty decent cast, plus the premise sounds really interesting. i really wanna read the book too. It's written by Keira Cass and will hit shelves April 24th.
Lastly, i've got Pretty Little Liars news, A has FINALLY been revealed! And it was kinda lame. i mean, seriously, i was really disappointed. If you didn't see Pretty Little Liars last night and would like to know who the hell A turned out to be, stick around cos i'm about to drop that knowledge on yo ass. If you don't wanna know, then you've officially been Spoiler Alerted.
Here's the big ol' secret: A is......... wait for iiiiiiiiiiiit........... Mona!
Yeah, just like in the books. Very anticlimactic considering they've been kinda forcing her down our throats majorly the past few episodes, you know what i mean? There were several episodes at the beginning of the season where Mona was pretty much absent and then the last like 5 episodes it was Mona Mania. So that was a little disappointing. But those Pretty Little Liars, they're a tricky bunch because, yes, we did finally discover A's identity but now we've got all these other questions. Like what was up with Jenna and Lucas and that person in the black swan dress that may or may not have been Melissa? And was that really Maya's body? And did anyone else think that Aria looked like Wednesday Addams by the end of the episode?
Well, all these questions will hopefully be answered next season which starts sometime this summer.
So that's all the Books Into Movies and TV news i've got for you today. Come back soon when i'll undoubtedly be fangirling the fuck out over finally seeing The Hunger Games!!!

More Hunger Games Movie News And Other Movie News That Isn't Hunger Games Related
Here's yet another Hunger Games clip for you, my friends! Does anyone else get the feeling that we're one clip away from just about seeing the entire movie already? i mean, give us a little something to look forward to in ONLY 11 MORE DAYS, Lionsgate!!!!!!!!
Anyhoo, here's part of Peeta's interview with Caesar Flickerman. What do you guys think?
And i'm sure my fellow Hunger Games fangirls have already checked this out, but for anyone who hasn't, here's the link to find your Hunger Games name as well as the way you'll be killed.
i'm Beetee Bogsworth from District 4 in the 20th Hunger Games and i was killed by eating raw Jabberjay. Seems like kind of pussy way of dying, but whatevs.
In other non-Hunger Games news, another person i don't know has been cast in that movie i don't care about. i'm, of course talking about the Beautiful Creatures adaptation. The role of Link will be played by Thomas Mann.
Is anyone really fangirling it out over this movie yet? If so, please tell me what you think about the casting choices so far as i didn't really care for the book and thus i don't really care about the movie.
That's all the scoop i've got for you today but visit again soon for even more dish.
And don't forget, The Hunger Games movie comes out in a mere 11 days!!! March 23rd it's going down! Fangirl it out in the comments section.

The Hunger Games Soundtrack And Other Books Into Movies News
Let's face it, it wouldn't be Books Into Movies news without a little Hunger Games. So here's your (seemingly) daily fix!
You can now check out what to expect from The Hunger Games soundtrack here.
There are 16 songs in total.
Some of the artists include, The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Neko Case, Kid Cudi and Miranda Lambert. Plus you'll also find songs from The Civil Wars and Taylor Swift other than their collaboration "Safe and Sound."
The video for which you can see.....
NOW:
It's actually a really pretty song and video. You can pick up the soundtrack March 20th.
i've got more Beautiful Creatures casting news for ya.
The main characters, Ethan and Lena, have been cast. They will be played by Jack O'Connell and Alice Englert, respectively. i've never heard of either of these actors but like i previously said, i don't really have any investment tied up in this movie because i wasn't a huge fan of the book so i'm not gonna go all Hunger Games madwoman crazy over this casting.
Anyhoo, Emma Thompson, who i actually do know, as she played Professor Trelawney in the Harry Potter series plus she's starred in countless other movies, has also been cast in the Beautiful Creatures movie. She'll be playing the dual roles of Mrs. Lincoln and Sarafine.
After reading the articles that i linked, i find it a little odd that this movie, which is based on a book about a town in South Carolina, is, so far, starring two Brits and a New Zealander.
Well at least Viola Davis is not only Southern but she's actually from South Carolina too.
John Green's latest novel, The Fault in Our Stars, which just came out in January of this year, has already been optioned for movie-making by the movie-making folks over at Fox.
i think everything is in its early stages right now so the fact that it might be made into a movie is the only news i have for you. This book is currently TBRing it on my shelf and i can't wait to read it. i've heard many, many wonderful things about it.
i also just discovered that i'm a nerdfighter. Are you? Check out the awesome sauce video below to see if you qualify. :)
DFTBA, y'all!
The last Books Into Movies news i have for you is kinda old Books Into Movies news.
So if you didn't already know, which i think there's no way you couldn't have already known because the TV in general has been playing the trailer for this movie pretty much nonstop for about a month, The Secret World of Arrietty is out now in theaters. It's based on The Borrowers books written by Mary Norton. i actually wanna see it even though i'm not a fan of this particular kind of animation. i like when things that are usually used for one purpose are made into something new to use for a completely different, tiny purpose. That's why i love the Tinkerbell movies so much! Yes, i think we've already established that i'm a huge nerd. Anyhoosies, here's the trailer for The Secret World of Arrietty.
Now it's your turn to tell me what you think of all this Books Into Movies news. Do you like the casting choices so far for Beautiful Creatures? Is Taylor Swift's song Hunger Games-y enough for you? Is there a song you thought would've been perfect for the soundtrack that was left off? Did you see The Secret World of Arrietty this weekend? Was it awesome? Are you a fellow nerdfighter?
Dish this shizz and more in the comments section below.

A Little Bit Of Book Into Movie (And Music!) News
So i guess i'll start with the news that everyone will be super jazzed to hear. Even though i'm quite sure that you guys know by now and thus this is in fact not really news at all. But anyway for those few readers of this blog that also happen to live under a rock, you know like my mole people fans, it turns out that Breaking Dawn Part 1 will be out on DVD February 11th! (P.S. Why does Kristen Stewart look so morose and suicidal on EVERY Twilight movie cover? Cheer up, bitch.)
Shockingly, i, much like the mole people, haven't seen it yet. (i know, i've been a very bad Twihard.) But i will be buying it this Saturday. i won't however be one of the cray's going out at midnight just so i can score a fucking flower prop. That's not how Evil Eva rolls.
Here's something new, how about a little Books Into Music News! Taylor Swift will be premiering her music video for "Safe and Sound" from The Hunger Games soundtrack on MTV Monday the 13th. The soundtrack itself will be available March 20th.
Here's a still from the video. Looks a little more Twilighty than Hunger Gamey to me.
Someone has finally been cast in the movie version of Beautiful Creatures (the book series written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.) And that someone is Viola Davis. She'll be taking on the role of Amma.
i read the first book in this series and wasn't really a fan. (Check out my review of it here) i can't even remember who Amma is. So i'm not about to shit my pants with anticipation for this one but depending on who else is cast and how the trailer turns out, i might head to the theater to see it.
That's all the Books Into Movies (and Music!) News i've got for you now. What do you guys think of all this? Do you think Viola is a good choice for Beautiful Creatures? Do you think Taylor Swift's video will encompass the spirit of The Hunger Games. Will you be waiting in line at midnight just to get a Breaking Dawn prop flower? Dish that shizz in the comments section below.

It's A 50-Days-Til-The-Hunger-Games Celebration At EvilEva's Trailer Park!
It's only 50 days until The Hunger Games hits theaters! Which means it's only 50 days until i lose my shit!!! So in honor of the 50-day-mark the fans have been gifted with this new trailer. Which is pretty much just made up of all the other trailers we've already seen, plus like 20 seconds of new shizz. But let's face it. That's not gonna stop us from watching it like one billion times. We're gonna watch it and we're gonna like it, dammit! (Even if they got the whole Mockingjay pin thing COMPLETELY wrong.)
*squeals with fangirlish delight*
March 23rd, y'all. Don't forget.
Now go back to fangirling like a maniac. :)

EvilEva's Trailer Park Presents: Books Into Movies For All Ages!!!
There seems to be Books Into Movies overload coming our way. And there also seems to be a little something something for everyone. So i've compiled a little listy-poo for you guys starting with some kid-lit, Dr. Seuss awesomeness and ending with THE OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR THE HUNGER GAMES!!!
First up we have The Lorax which is of course based on the book of the same name written by the best children's book author EVER, Dr. Seuss! . The movie stars the vocal talents of Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Ed Helms, Betty White and little Danny Devito as the lorax. It's set to hit theaters on March 2nd, 2012.
Next up, more kid-lit! This one's not headed for the big screen but the small. SyFy is at it again, taking a beloved classic (previously Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz) and turning it into a SyFy Original Movie Event. This time they're taking on Peter Pan and making a prequel titled Neverland. The trailer tells us that this is before Peter met Wendy, before the boys were lost and before Hook became Captain. So it sounds like a pretty interesting premise. The stars of this miniseries are Charlie Rowe, Rhys Ifans, Anna Friel, and Keira Knightley as the voice of Tinkerbell. Neverland begins December 4th at 9pm and you can catch the conclusion December 5th at 9pm.
Keeping with the fairy tale theme, here's the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman. This one stars Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth. It's supposed to be in theaters some time next summer. i gotta say, the graphics look pretty cool. They've even made Kristen Stewart look less like she's about to stick her head in an oven. God, CGI is such a wonder, huh?
So this isn't based on a book but the main character, played by Charlize Theron, is a young adult author. Which i think is pretty cool cos when are our folks ever represented in anything?! Not that the character that Mizz Theron is playing seems to be doing real YA authors any justice. She seems like a ginormous mess of a person.
Anyhooties, Patrick Wilson and Patton Oswalt also start in this flick which comes out in theaters December 9th.
i posted a trailer for Girl With The Dragon Tattoo a while back but this one is more "movie trailer" less "movie clips coupled with Euro dance music." So if you haven't read the books, this trailer will give you more insight into what you can expect from the movie. It stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. You can catch it in theaters starting December 21st.
And now the biggest of all bigs:
FINALLY!!! THE HUNGER GAMES MOVIE TRAILER!!!
Ok, i don't know about y'all but i totally fangirled it out while watching this!!! In my opinion this movie is going to be awesome!!! i think the official trailer is totally rad and i think we'll all be eating our hats when March comes. i hope so. i hope that we were all totes wrong this whole time that we've been bitching and moaning about certain casting choices. Maybe i'm being a little too optimistic here. But i'm really hoping for a little more Harry Potter a little less Twilight. Agree?
So what do you guys think? Which movies are you super excited to see? Sound off in the comments section.

Books Into Movies Linky-Dink-O-Rama
So you may remember that previously in a Miscellaneous File i told y'all about this new Diablo Cody/Jason Reitman flick starring Charlize Theron in which she plays a YA writer. Which is cool cos when have you ever seen a movie about a YA writer? But it could be bad too cos from the little info that i've found she apparently doesn't have her shit together and her life is somewhat of a big fat mess. So not necessarily giving our peeps the respect they deserve it seems. Anyhoosies, the new news is that the poster for said movie is now floating around the blogosphere and if you haven't seen it yet, here it is:
i gotta say, i really dig this poster. It reminds me of the old 80s/90stastic covers of yesteryear. You could easily envision that drunk mess blonde as one of the Wakefield twins (probably Jessica) so i thought that was pretty clever. (Plus y'all know that Diablo Cody is supposed to maybe, possibly make a Sweet Valley movie, right? This poster seems like maybe one has inspired the other.) So now we have the poster, which looks pretty cool, but still no trailer. Lets reserve our judgment for the day when we can see actual moving pictures, kay?
Twihards, prepare to lose ya damn minds! Here is the latest clip from Breaking Dawn:
In it we see a more preggers Kristen Stewart. (It appears, much like the Lolcats, Bella can has cheezburger. FiNALLY!) Plus Carlisle's hair has gone from horrid to complete shitballs. Which is bad, in case you didn't realize. i don't know about y'all but for some reason the more Twilight movies they make the less excited i get about them. i don't know what's wrong with me. Do any of you guys feel this way? i'm wondering if i'm the only slight hater out there. Hmm.
Have you ever wondered what your district would be if you lived in Panem? Well wonder no more cos now the Capitol has a website you can join! You have to have an account on either Twitter or Facebook in order to participate. You can bet your sweet ass muscles that this chick joined. i'm in District 8, the textiles district. Not much has happened so far. i'm hoping we'll get like exclusive movie info or photos or SOMETHING cool since it's affiliated with the movie. So far nada.
Lauren Oliver's book, Before I Fall has been optioned for movie-making! Here's a link with a little information but i don't think they've made any of the big decisions yet like who will play Sam. i'll keep you posted as soon as i get more deets about this one.
And lastly, Disney Channel has acquired the rights to two YA novels that they'll be making into movies soon. First, is Shrinking Violet by Danielle Joseph which i've heard will be changed to Radio Rebel and will star Debby Ryan. And the second movie is Geek Charming based on the book of the same name by Robin Palmer and will star Sarah Hyland.
That's the news for now. If you've found any Books Into Movies news that i've missed and that you'd like to share, drop me a line in the comments section and tell me all about it!

EvilEva's Trailer Park Presents: The Hunger Games Teaser Trailer
When they said "teaser" they weren't kidding, huh? Just a lot of Jennifer Lawrence running through the woods.
But who really cares cos at least we finally have something! i can't wait until we get more. Maybe some bits from the Capitol, a little Peeta, a little Rue, shots of District 12, and can i please get a little Haymitch?!
Truthfully though, this could have simply been Jennifer Lawrence taking a stroll through the woods sans the bow and arrow, talking to squirrels and i'd still totally wanna see this movie.
So. Now that we've finally got it, what do y'all think? Sound off in the comments section.

Peeta And Gale: Unveiled
So first they gave us a glimpse of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss and now Entertainment Weekly is giving the boys their turn. Here is a look at Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth as Peeta and Gale...
And here is my reaction to this photo...
What the what?!?!
Why does Peeta look so pissed off? He's supposed to be the sweet bread maker! Instead he looks like he's about to bitch slap the photographer. And why does he look like a ginger? He's supposed to be blond!
And Gale looks like a pussy. He looks like a male model, not a hunter that wants to overthrow the Capitol and defend his family! And why the fudgesticks is his shirt tucked in?!?! It makes him look like some sorta sexy ranch hand on the cover of a cheesy romance novel! Like he would shovel shit and then grope your heaving bosom in the barn!
i wasn't really sure about these two as our Peeta and Gale to begin with and now i'm a little freaked because seeing them in their Hunger Games garb has done nothing to soothe my worried mind.
i just REALLY hope they don't fuck this movie up. i mean, think about it, this is all we have left to look forward to. There will be no Harry Potter salve to put on our hearts for bad book-into-movie end products.
Hopefully the odds will be ever in our favor on this one. *crosses fingers*

Know The Snow (And Other Hunger Games Movie News)
Today we got another big piece of casting news for The Hunger Games movie! Donald Sutherland will play the evil President Snow. i never really thought of him as a possibility but now that i'm kinda forced to since he'll be playing him and whatnot, i gotta tell ya, i don't hate it. In fact i think he pulls off that whole charming yet kinda creepy vibe really well. So i think that he'll make a great addition to the cast.
In other casting news, Nelson Ascencio has been cast to play Flavius while the role of Venia goes to Kimiko Gelman. The Avox girl whom Katniss meets in the Capitol has also been cast. She'll be played by Amber Chaney.
And lastly, here are some ALLEGED photos of Jennifer Lawrence from the Hunger Games set. She's wearing a blue dress which i find a little odd cos i don't really remember Katniss wearing dresses except when designed by Cinna. And this one looks kinda Dorothy Gale to me. Prim (or the actress that plays her) looks to be in one of the pics so i'm assuming it's when they were still together in District 12. WAiT A FUCKiNG MiNUTE! Didn't Katniss borrow a dress from her mother when she was setting out for the Capitol? Am i just making this up? Remembering it wrong? Damnit, i need to read these books again!
Well what do you think of our President? The other characters? And what about those ALLEGED photos? Dish it up in the comments section, guys.

More Hunger Games Movie Casting News
So a big decision was made today. Cinna was cast. And who did they get to play him?
Lenny Kravitz.
Wait. What?
Yes i know that his name had been tossed around a few weeks ago as a possible contender for a role in the movie but honestly i thought it was just a rumor. i didn't really think that he would actually get a role. i mean, he's Lenny Kravitz for fuck's sake!
i mean, that's just such a random choice, no? What is going on over at Lionsgate? First the Peeta/Gale debacle and now this! i know one thing, if Lenny rocks his famous dreads i will totes no longer be on Team Cinna!
In other casting news, the role of Peeta's stylist, Portia, will be played by Latarsha Rose. And Octavia, a member of Katniss' prep team, will be played by Brooke Bundy. Here's a pic of those chicks:
And lastly, here's some interesting news. Claudius Templesmith will be played by Dobby the house elf. Or at least by the guy that voiced him; British actor Toby Jones.
So those are the new cast members (so far) for this week. What do you guys think? (Especially about the Lenny decision.) There are only a few roles left so who do you think we'll see next? Will they announce who will play Madge or Greasy Sae or the Avox girl?
Or will they hit us with the biggie--- President Snow?
Tell me your dream cast or if you're happy with the reality cast thus far. (Lenny Kravitz? Really?) Dish it up in the comments, people!

First Glimpse Of Jennifer Lawrence As Katniss
Big news, y'all! Entertainment Weekly has Jennifer Lawrence on the cover of this weeks magazine! Oh and did i mention she's dressed up as Katniss?!?!? i can't wait to get my copy Friday and dive head first into any and all Hunger Games dish! Can't wait either? Here it is:
i mentioned in a previous post that i was totally for Jennifer getting the part of Katniss since i saw her amazing performance in Winter's Bone. And now that i've seen her in her Hunger Games garb i'm completely 100% sure they got the right girl!
Now if we can just see how they'll transform Peeta and Gale. ;)
Well, what do you guys think? Still a little iffy or totally convinced now? Dish it up in the comments.

The Reaping Is Officially Over
All the Tributes have been cast. i was a little surprised when i saw the actors that will play District 2 cos i've actually seen them before. Cato will be played by Alexander Ludwig who was previously in Race to Witch Mountain plus he also played the main character in The Seeker.
And the role of Clove goes to Isabelle Fuhrman who you might remember as the wackadoo little girl who was SPOILER ALERT! actually a 30 year old small lady in that crazypants movie Orphan.
i'm not so sure that Alexander can bring it but i think Isabelle was a totally good choice for Clove.
What do you guys think of our final Tributes? Are you of the yay or the nay camp? Dish that shizz out in the comments section, y'all!
